Hamilton Island State School provides students with opportunities to participate in camps and excursions that support learning beyond the classroom.
Throughout the year, students may take part in a range of educational, cultural, sporting and community activities. These experiences are planned to complement classroom learning, support student development, and enhance engagement with the local community and environment.
In 2026, students participated in a range of experiences, including the Year 3 to 6 camp at Kinchant Dam Outdoor Education Centre, Under 8s Day with Proserpine State School and Cannonvale State School, a glass bottom boat tour to a nearby reef, and a NAIDOC Week cultural experience on Whitsunday Island.
Information about upcoming camps and excursions, including dates, costs, transport arrangements and consent requirements, will be provided to families prior to each activity.
